Introduction
The Author has been making commercial antennas for years. This is a report for a another commercially made one. The return loss is being 4 db on 2-meters, and 10 on 70-cm and out of band a little.
A cable was added in line to change the figures of 4 db on 2-meters and 6 on 70-cm and is slightly out of band.
For HT use this may work in most cases, especially on low power. There are other variables to the best (lowest) return figures, such as hand placement and type of radio. For example, some hand-held radios have more metal than others to which the former type helps improve that return level in many cases. This is below typical from the better stubbys
